badgeWe are a dedicated group of volunteers, who are all Cavalier owners, working to reduce the number of Cavalier requiring re-homing while assisting those who need our help.
We welcome surrendered Cavaliers to our care with love and understanding knowing the special needs of the breed and realising that the parting can be traumatic for both owner and dog.

BANDIT AND SPOT

Just look at this pair of charmers.  These were spotted by Kathy and Liza on the Albury Wodonga Animal Shelter's web site.

These two adorable little faces peeping out of the kennel need a new forever home - together.

bandit

This lady and gentleman were reluctantly surrendered to us through no fault of their own. Bandit and Spot are the sweetest natured little dogs that you could imagine, anyone who has had anything to do with Cavvies will agree with that.

But that's not all!

Bandit and Spot you could say are special needs dogs, although they do manage very well despite their disabilities.

Poor little Spot was born with only one eye and Bandit was born with only three legs! They support each other and have always lived together so we very much want to keep them together.

Normally we try and discount double adoptions but we’ve had to outlay a bit of money on them as Bandit had to have extensive dental work and that doesn’t come cheap, even from the Animal Shelter's wonderful vet Dr Jana.

If you would like to see more information and lots more photos, just go the their web site.

This lovely pair of little dogs do like a gentle walk, love to scruff around in the garden and most off all love to be near their people. They would suit a retired couple or single person. They are good with cats and dogs, but Spot can be a little shy around other dogs as she has limited vision of course.

If you think that  Bandit and Spot could be the dogs you need to complete your family, please contact Dallas.

Raffles: Our raffles have traditionally been probably our most successful source of income, the most popular prizes to date being quilts, hand made novelty toys, and goods made up into hamper style baskets. We are always on the look out for more ideas for other items that we can add to this list.

Bunnings's BBQ: We now have a date for our Bunnings Sausage Sizzle. Saturday 2nd June 2012 at Bunnings Nerang. Carolyn will work out staffing rosters a little closer to the date.

Garage sale: The first one of the year was held at  Worongary on Saturday 14th April. The sale, as always was quite a success, especially for the participants. These sales, although hard work, always end up being an enjoyable social day for our tireless and dedicated volunteers.

Many thanks to all who donated goods for sale and to those who came along on the day to score a bargain or two.

We are sure to hold another sale sometime later this year and we will let you know the date, time and place a little closer to the event

De-Sexed Dog Show: Carolyn is negotiating with Council and Showground Secretary for a suitable date.

Annual Picnic: Following another very successful day at PIZZY PARK we shall return again, bigger and if possible, even better.

RSPCA Million Paws Walk:  Sunday 20th May Doug Jennings Park at Southport Spit
