Dax is an 11 month old Blenheim boy who is looking for his forever home. Born on the 14th October 2024, this handsome boy has an extremely high energy level.

Dax is looking for a forever home that will dedicate time to ensuring he has at least one big walk every day. He is superb on walks. He loves to sniff, explore new areas and can walk for long periods of time (in cooler times of the day of course).

As Dax is only 11 months old he is still learning the ways of the world. He is still fine tuning his listening skills and he hasn’t yet accepted that personal space is a thing. He tolerates grooming.

Dax is a snorer and enjoys sleeping in a human bed. Dax is desexed and up to date with his vaccinations. He has had all the required health and dental checks and had been given a clean bill of health.

Dax is intelligent and could very easily figure out how to sneak past humans to escape out of a front door, or outside gate if not restrained. He does get underneath your feet and may cause tripping. He will require constant training.

Dax is excellent with other dogs. If his forever family had another Cavalier Dax would love the company. In his foster home he has other dogs as companions and he really appreciates having a play mate who will play to toy tug-o-war with him (his favourite after dinner activity). As he is inquisitive, he loves to meet new people and dogs. He is good with children over 12 years. Cats are untested.

Dax is very inquisitive. He loves toys, balls and enrichment games, but must be supervised at all times.

Dax loves food. He has been eating 5 Hounds by Dr Will since he entered into our foster care program. We have seen terrific results. His coat has become softer and shinier, his eyes are more alert and he seems to be able to concentrate for longer periods of time. He will need to continue on a high quality diet.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Needs a long daily walk as he has A LOT of energy.

• Very inquisitive, needs regular enriching brain games.

• Needs high quality food. He has responded very well to 5 Hounds by Dr Will.

• Needs a home with a backyard and a secure fenced that cannot be dug under. Also needs a family who understands that he can escape if he puts his mind to it therefore should not be near a door that opens out into an unfenced area unless he is restrained.
