Success Stories
We have found forever homes for the many Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that have come into our care since the idea for Cavalier Rescue was born in 1999. Sometimes this takes longer than we expect because we are dedicated to finding the right forever home for each cavalier based on each Cavaliers individual needs.
Treat your eyes to the following photos of these endearing and adorable angels. These furry heroes have overcome adversity and are now enjoying their best lives in their forever homes with families that love and care for them.
Through the success of these Cavaliers we celebrate the incredible resilience and unwavering spirit of these furry survivors, showcasing the transformative power of compassion and love. Prepare to be moved, inspired and reminded that every adoption of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a triumph, every rescued soul a beacon of hope.

Harry
Absolutely adorable Blenheim boy Harry exudes intelligence and aristocratic charm. Harry has found a spectacular forever family that love everything about their quirky little angel. Harry is a very valued member of his new forever family, alongside his new fur sibling. His sister is a beautiful Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The dynamic between these two is so sweet to see.

Ruby
This gorgeous Blenheim girl named Ruby came to us due to mother/daughter rivalry. Ruby has such a sweet temperament an constantly having to defend herself was causing her stress. In her foster home she quickly became confident and her outgoing little personality shone through brightly. Ruby has come out of her shell and is an avid hunter, a resourceful seagull watchdog and an enthusiastic greeter of guests.

Archie & Louis
Archie and Louis are an absolutely gorgeous pair of Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Our Ruby twins were surrendered to us because their owner was posted overseas. The twins were adopted by a lovely family who have two young human boys. Archie and Louis have become very valued members of this family.

Arabella
Arabella is a beautiful little girl who came to us from a veterinary surgery. Sadly she had been run over by a car and was a candidate for euthanasia. Fortunately the Veterinary Surgeon contacted us for help. She had five fractures of the pelvis. But with the loving care of her foster Mum she spent a few months healing and is now feeling great.

Millie & Zahlia
Millie (Tricolour) and Zahlia (Blenheim) are your typical Cavalier King Charles Spaniel snuggle bunnies. Millie often wins the competition for attention, however Zahlia is the cheekier of the two. She chews anything and everything - even your dinner if your turn your back. Millie is more affectionate and will happily snuggle in bed with you while Zahlia is out looking for mischief.

Jed
Jed is a beautiful black and tan Cavalier youngster who exuberant personality has injected fun and rejuvenation into a household of older Cavaliers. His happy go lucky demeanour perfectly balances out his affectionate snuggly nature. He has progressed from sleeping in the lounge room to his human’s bed where he is determined to stay.

Ruby & Henry
Ruby (Tricolour) and Henry (Blenheim) are a senior bonded pair. Following their veterinary assessment it was determined that they would join the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Rescue Queensland permanent foster program. They are now living out their days in the company of other Cavaliers with an experienced foster carer.

Panda
Panda was nine years old when he came into our care. Panda is a more senior boy who is so loveable with so much love to give. Like most Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Panda is a passionate foodie. In fact, his forever family have nick named him Gobbledoc. Panda is deaf and responds well to hand signals.

Tiffany
Looking at Tiffany now it is hard to imagine that she was once a timid, fearful little Cavalier when she came into our care. This beautiful Ruby has truly blossomed and is now living her best life with her Cavalier brother Louie. Although Tiffany is still a little wary of strangers, she now greets visitors at the door in true Cavalier style.

Willow
Meet Empress Willow. This absolutely stunning Blenheim girl has become the focal point in her forever family. She is a loving little girl who has taken over her father’s lap. She loves nothing more than to climb onto his lap to enjoy the morning sun. She also loves snuggling in bed with her Mum on those colder Gold Coast days.

Henry III
Henry III is a very distinguished gentleman who is now living his best life on an island. Yes you read correctly. This handsome tricolour immediately fit into his forever family. They proudly report that they had an instant connection. Henry III has so much love to give and his family adore receiving it. A typical Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Henry III would win a gold medal in any snoring decibel competition.

Bonnie & Blue
Raising cost of living and changed family circumstances caused Bonnie, a tricolour and beautiful Blue, a Blenheim, to arrive at our door. Their foster mum and furry foster siblings welcomed them with open arms. Bonnie has lost most of her original separation anxiety, although still reserved and Blue remains her outgoing self.

Milly
Milly came into our care due to changed home circumstances. At just two years old Milly quickly assumed her rightful role of Princess with her new forever family. Her family report that she adorably purrs like a cat when being petted. Still a puppy, Milly loves eating paper, specifically new toilet rolls as she can drag them throughout the house.

Alfred
Sweet Alfred is one of our adorable senior dogs. Alfred is living an amazing life full of love in permanent care with one of our devoted foster carers who has a soft spot for ‘the oldies’. Alfred will see out his days under the care of CKCSRQ. We will ensure he receives all the health and medical care that he deserves.

Sammy
Senior Sammy came into our care as a very anxious boy who struggled with stress as a result of many ongoing health issues. A number of one-on-one sessions with a professional dog behaviouralist gave Sammy and his forever family the tools to start making gentle changes to help him become a happier and calmer boy.

Lady Lily-Grace
Lady Lily-Grace started life in a backyard breeding facility. After being rescued she found a home, but sadly it wasn’t the right fit and she experienced separation anxiety, toileting challenges and ear infections. After some time in foster care, she finally found her forever home. Lady Lily-Grace is now living her best life in a home where the dogs (she and her three fur siblings) rule the roost and the humans exist to serve them.

Zoe
Zoe came into our care after a behavioural assessment at a shelter. Zoe was described as an escape artist who was timid. But once she found her forever Mum she quickly settled into her new life and found contentment. She looks like an angel but this girl is no pushover. She is an opportunist and a proud foodie.

Louie
Louie is a big strapping lad with a heart of gold. Sadly his former family suffered health issues which resulted in Louie being surrendered to us. Louie found his forever home in April 2020. The separation anxiety he previously suffered from promptly disappeared and he is now living his best life.

Megs
Megs is an elegantly senior lady. Sadly she spent the majority of her younger life in a breeding facility. Since being rescued she has been in our long-term foster care program. Megs quickly settled into life with one of our special long-serving foster carers. Megs was able to unravel the confines of fear and anxiety.
