Success Stories
We have found forever homes for the many Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that have come into our care since the idea for Cavalier Rescue was born in 1999. Sometimes this takes longer than we expect because we are dedicated to finding the right forever home for each cavalier based on each Cavaliers individual needs.
Treat your eyes to the following photos of these endearing and adorable angels. These furry heroes have overcome adversity and are now enjoying their best lives in their forever homes with families that love and care for them.
Through the success of these Cavaliers we celebrate the incredible resilience and unwavering spirit of these furry survivors, showcasing the transformative power of compassion and love. Prepare to be moved, inspired and reminded that every adoption of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a triumph, every rescued soul a beacon of hope.

Walter
Sir Walter is a true 'King of the Castle'! He came into our care due to a change in family circumstances, and we're so glad he did. This loving companion required several medical procedures, including a dental with a whopping 29 teeth extracted, desexing, and vaccinations. But that didn't stop him from being the most devoted shadow, following his humans everywhere.
Arlie
Arlie is a Cavalier with an adorable and distinctive crooked smile that has endeared him to everyone he meets. Adopted at age five, he has settled in beautifully with his family. Arlie, affectionately known as ‘McHappy Face’ for his cheerful disposition, loves his food and is a master at finding any dropped treats, especially when the grandchildren are visiting.
Maxi & Mindi
Two of our wonderful rescues Maxi and Mindi, have found their forever home and are thriving. Both Maxi and Mindi love their daily walks and are doing a great job of keeping the birds out of the yard.
Priya & Joanie
Joanie and Priya are true companion dogs who do everything together. They are always by your side, and they have fit into their new forever family like missing puzzle pieces. These two beautiful girls love their daily walks, where they meet new dogs and people.
Pearl
Pearl is a loving and very clever Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Pearl is affectionately called Dora the Explorer because she loves to explore every nook and cranny of the garden. Pearl supposedly has hearing problems, but it’s thought to be selective, especially when the pantry or fridge opens.
Harry
Absolutely adorable Blenheim boy Harry exudes intelligence and aristocratic charm. Harry has found a spectacular forever family that love everything about their quirky little angel. Harry is a very valued member of his new forever family, alongside his new fur sibling. His sister is a beautiful Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The dynamic between these two is so sweet to see.
Ruby
This gorgeous Blenheim girl named Ruby came to us due to mother/daughter rivalry. Ruby has such a sweet temperament an constantly having to defend herself was causing her stress. In her foster home she quickly became confident and her outgoing little personality shone through brightly. Ruby has come out of her shell and is an avid hunter, a resourceful seagull watchdog and an enthusiastic greeter of guests.
Archie & Louis
Archie and Louis are an absolutely gorgeous pair of Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Our Ruby twins were surrendered to us because their owner was posted overseas. The twins were adopted by a lovely family who have two young human boys. Archie and Louis have become very valued members of this family.
Arabella
Arabella is a beautiful little girl who came to us from a veterinary surgery. Sadly she had been run over by a car and was a candidate for euthanasia. Fortunately the Veterinary Surgeon contacted us for help. She had five fractures of the pelvis. But with the loving care of her foster Mum she spent a few months healing and is now feeling great.
Millie & Zahlia
Millie (Tricolour) and Zahlia (Blenheim) are your typical Cavalier King Charles Spaniel snuggle bunnies. Millie often wins the competition for attention, however Zahlia is the cheekier of the two. She chews anything and everything - even your dinner if your turn your back. Millie is more affectionate and will happily snuggle in bed with you while Zahlia is out looking for mischief.
Jed
Jed is a beautiful black and tan Cavalier youngster who exuberant personality has injected fun and rejuvenation into a household of older Cavaliers. His happy go lucky demeanour perfectly balances out his affectionate snuggly nature. He has progressed from sleeping in the lounge room to his human’s bed where he is determined to stay.
Ruby & Henry
Ruby (Tricolour) and Henry (Blenheim) are a senior bonded pair. Following their veterinary assessment it was determined that they would join the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Rescue Queensland permanent foster program. They are now living out their days in the company of other Cavaliers with an experienced foster carer.
