Get Involved

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Rescue Queensland is a small not-for-profit charity. We rely on the selfless contributions of volunteers. We often rely on the same core group of volunteers time and again. We are always so grateful to accept new volunteers who feel they have a skillset that could benefit us. There are many ways you can become involved. These include becoming ‘A Friend’, or volunteering at fundraising events, donating to our urgent requests, donating your containers through our Containers for Change program, donating crates, purchasing our annual calendar and much more.

Become a Friend

A Friend is a general supporter who may make financial donations and / or donate their time from time to time.

A Friend can also nominate people to become a CKCSRQ committee member.

Donating time may include helping at events such as our fundraising Bunnings Sausage Sizzles.

To become A Friend please complete an Application form.

Become a Volunteer

Volunteers donate their time for various activities, from administrative duties to fundraising and event assistance and so much more.

A volunteer must complete the Volunteer Form in order to participate. Completion of the form assures your coverage by our Volunteers Insurance policy.

Note: Excludes Foster Carers and Transporters as they require an alternative insurance coverage.

Become A Transporter

A Transporter help us transport Cavalier King Charles Spaniels from time to time. This includes at the surrender point to a foster home, or from foster home to adopter, or to veterinary or other appointments.

To become a transporter, you will need to provide proof of a current drivers’ licence and you would preferably have a crate. However if you don’t we will try to help out with the loan. Crates are very important when dogs are being surrendered as it is a very stressful time for them and it is safer for them to be gently restrained.
