Rose
Rose is one of our special stories. She came into our care after retiring from her sad life as a breeding dog. She tested positive for heartworm and treatment began immediately. Her world had been very small, and suddenly everything was too big, too loud, and too unfamiliar.
After a trip to the vet and a specialist referral, it was revealed that this sweet girl also had a severely inflamed gall bladder. Surgery was her best option, and after an extensive operation, three days in the Pet ICU, she came home to recover and was thrilled to be reunited with her fur siblings.
Today, Rose is a happy, playful little shadow who loves romping with her furry siblings and staring her humans down every night until bedtime snacks are delivered. She’s come a very long way from that quiet, timid girl, and she is loving her new life filled with love, fun, belly rubs, and, of course, snacks on demand.
